TR Baillie Consulting Surveyors operates with only the latest in Surveying Technology. Our Surveyors are equipped with Leica 1200 Total Stations and GPS instruments. Our application software and firmware are regularly updated to ensure we have the latest survey tools at our disposal.
Static GPS measurements for Control Surveys, Total Station Measurements and the reduction of Digital Level information are all performed using Leica Geo Office software.
In addition to the experience we have with Leica Instruments and software, we also have experience with Trimble. This experience has largely been gained through the assistance we provide to our Mining clients where Trimble is their Survey instrument of choice.
Late in 2005 after 12 months of rigorous testing TR Baillie Consulting Surveyors purchased a 420i Riegl 3d Laser Scanner. This technology enables us to remotely capture field data where access to work areas are limited or where interaction with heavy equipment is a problem. Not only does this provide safety benefits, there is also no downtime in production associated with survey interaction.
Although the scanner primarily is involved with bulk earthworks and stockpile modeling the scanner has also been used for the modeling of structures such as dragline booms, workshop extensions and building fit outs. Combined with the digital camera attachment the Scanner is also used for the mapping of geological features in Highwalls.
Our ability to handle bulk earthworks and structural modeling is largely attributed to our choice in software. TR Baillie Consulting surveyors have specifically chosen Leica’s Cyclone Laser Scanning software. Cyclone is specifically tailored for the plant industry but through the development of in house procedures and workflows we are able to use the software for bulk earthworks, stockpile measurements and geological mapping.
Computations relating to Surveying, Civil Engineering and Mining are performed using Carlson software. Carlson works in an Autocad environment and only produces native Autocad objects such as polylines lines and points. Current and future clients are able to easily handle our data through the production of Autocad drawings or the export of data through Land XML or DXF exports.
Cadastral Plans are prepared using SurvaCAD, software which works in an Autocad Environment. SurvaCAD is specific to the preparation of Queensland Cadastral Survey Plans, which include Reconfiguration of Lots, Building Units, Leases and Easement Surveys. |
